An autopsy has confirmed the identity of human remains found by Tsuut’ina Nation Fire Department personnel last week.

On Wednesday, April 3, fire personnel were responding to a grass fire near Range Road 40 and Township Road 241 in Rocky View County.

Fire crews located human remains, at which point Cochrane RCMP and the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service responded, with the Alberta RCMP Major Crime Unit (MCU) taking carriage of the homicide investigation.

An autopsy was completed the next day, and the deceased individual was identified as 33-year-old Kyle Schuiling of Calgary.

The investigation continues, and the MCU is asking for help from the public.

They've released an image of Kyle in hopes that someone with information on his death will come forward.
