A thunderstorm could hit the High River and Okotoks areas this afternoon and overnight.

Environment and Climate Change Canada is predicting a 60 per cent chance of showers late this afternoon but it could turn into a thunderstorm as the wind picks up.

The wind is expected to gust from 40 to 60 km/h out of the west today and tonight showers could shift into flurries as the overnight low drops to -5° Celsius.

If the rain and snow do come it could pose some hazardous driving conditions on Wednesday morning.
