The Birds are back in Okotoks.

The first batch of Bird e-scooters was distributed in Okotoks Monday, April 8.

From April to October each year, the town's shared e-scooter program allows for locals to rent e-scooters through the Bird app.

The program was launched in 2021 and has expanded over the years, both in the number of scooters available in town and the radius in which they can be ridden.

There are some rules to keep in mind, including a limit of one person per scooter, riders having to be at least 16 years old, and scooters only allowed to be ridden on sidewalks, bike paths, pathways, and roads without markings.

More information on the program can be seen on the town's website.
