A Vulcan County woman who attempted to put a puppy and kitten in the mail now has a trial date.

Back in May, 53 year old Jill Marshall, put a puppy and kitten in a box with a postage stamp on the pup's head and left them outside of the Post Office in Milo.

According to a release from Vulcan County, Marshall tried on two separate attempts to allegedly mail living animals, once on Tuesday, May 7 and again on Friday, May 17.

Marshall is charged with causing an animal to be in distress.

She plead not guilty in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Tuesday, October 8.

A trial date has been scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2020.
