The Little Britches Parade is celebrating its 65th year, but it won't be the only thing celebrated as they will pay tribute to the 100-year anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) on May 18 at 10:00 a.m.
Hank Leeferink, member of High River Parades and Lights Society explains how they are going to show gratitude towards the RCAF.
"What's happening this year is we are saluting the RCAF's 100 years. We will have four veterans, three are 100-years old, and the youngster is 90. They all served in World War Two and they will be our parade marshals this year," Leeferink said.
Leeferink is happy with how everything is turning out for the parades festivities but is still looking for some volunteers to help out.
"The biggest thing we have to talk about is volunteers, we could sure use a lot of volunteers between the parades, the Lions Club, the Lions dinner or the Lions beef on a bun."
"Everybody could use volunteers, we are putting a big push on to help us, so that we stay the model that we are of 100 per cent volunteers."
