The Okotoks Bisons are off to a great start to the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League season.

They've rattled off six straight wins to start the year, and with the exception of one game, they've all been dominating wins.

Bisons Coach Chris Beston says it's been fun.

"It is a lot of fun. I mean, this is a very deep team, any line can score and any given time. It's very nice as a coach because we can just roll four lines. The scary thing is we haven't even put a full 60 minutes together yet."

They head to Airdrie Friday, October 11, for what could be a tough test as they battle the Thunder.

Beston says he expects the Thunder to come with their "A" game.

"Airdrie will be a tough test. I mean, again they're the defending provincial champions. We know that they have good talent over there and we better be prepared."

The Bisons have been scary good this season, going 6-and-0 out of the gate and scoring an average of seven goals a game, while just giving up two per game.

The Thunder are a respectable 4-and-2 in the HJHL's North Division, but are having trouble keeping the puck out of their net, giving up 23 goals over six games.

The Bisons are back home Sunday, October 13, as they host the Stettler Lightning starting at 1:15 p.m. at the Murray Arena
