The Turner Valley Patrol had a busy summer handing out speeding tickets along with fines for distracted driving and vehicle equipment violations.

The numbers from their third quarter stats presented to Turner Valley Council at their last meeting, show they handed out almost double the number of speeding tickets from July to September this year, than they did over the same period in 2019.

The report also shows the overwhelming majority of those tickets went to people who don't call the Foothills home.

Most other stats were down from last year, while the total number of calls over the three months increased by 114 from the same time last year to 325 total complaints this year.
