Okotoks Oilers forward Connor Gourley of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) has announced he is headed to Robert Morris University of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). With the announcement he becomes the 12th player on the Oilers to commit to university hockey next year.

Gourley in his three years representing The Green and Gold has a total of 33 goals and 39 assists for a total of 72 points. As for playoffs Gourley tallied seven points in 24 games so far and looks to add to those totals this year.

Gourley started his junior career with the Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) in the 2021-2022 season before getting dealt to the Okotoks Oilers that same season.

Gourley has had success everywhere he has gone, being an above point per game for the Edge Prep School of the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL U18) burying 39 points with only 26 games played in the 2019-2020 season.

Gourley now joins, Rylan Brown (Michigan Tech), Sam Hall (St. Lawrence), Brennen Hocher (Nebraska Omaha), Sam Huck (Western Michigan), Brody Maguire (RPI), Hunter Sawka (Western Michigan), Jack Silverberg (Dartmouth), Dean Spak (Alaska Fairbanks), Jagger Tapper (RPI), Kade Turner (Ferris State), and Nick Wolfenberg (Cornell) as those who are committed to post-secondary hockey after this season.

Head to Okotoks Centennial Arena on Friday night at 7:00 to catch Gourley and the rest of The Green and Gold take on the Brooks Bandits for their playoff push.
