The RCMP Serious Crimes Branch reports that five-year-old Leonine O'Driscoll-Zak and her two-year-old sister Wyatt O'Driscoll-Zak were located yesterday evening in the Columbia Valley area in B.C.

The two girls from Cochrane had been missing for over a month.

The sisters were last seen around 9:30 a.m Friday, March 12 at the children's rural home near Cochrane.

The girls are currently in the care of Children Services and are said to be safe.

Investigators believed the alleged abduction stemmed from custody issues related to a “volatile court battle” between the mother and father.

No further details have been released.
