The Town of Black Diamond's decided to hold off going ahead with a boundary adjustment and land swap.

Mayor Ruth Goodwin says they could save about $14,000.

"What we're planning on doing is swapping land with our West End Commission, but there's no need to do that if the amalgamation application goes through," she says.

Part of the land is being used as a dog park and they want to use it for sewage lagoon expansion in the future.

If the amalgamation goes forward, Goodwin says the town would own the land and there would be no need for the purchase, saving the town time and money.
