The province kicked off "Right to Know Week" across Alberta on Monday.

Owen Kenny, with Alberta Government Services, says the annual tradition serves as awarness for the services available to all citizens.

"Citizens have the right to access information that the Government holds. But at the same time it raises awareness that a fair amount of information is entrusted, sensitive information is entrusted to the government of Alberta."

Kenny says the week wraps up on Friday, with the information and Privacy Commissioner Frank Work speaking on Thursday at the University of Lethbridge at 7 o'clock.
