As 2019 comes to an end, we look back on all the fun times we as a community had looking at all the Christmas lights.

Light Up Our High River has been a tradition in High River that brings the community out during the dark, cold nights of winter to experience all the magic that Christmas lights can bring.

This year was no different as Our High River hosted it's annual Light Up High River contest, "This years contest was a huge success" says Lorraine Watson.

"This years Light Up High River was a rousing success, we had a 75% increase in entrants over 2018. We had 21 entries last year with 37 this year, that was 28 in the residence category and 9 in the business."

Watson says this time of the year it's always so nice to see the community spirit come out.

"Not only were there the fantastic entries but also all of the houses that decorated that didn't enter, there was a green space where all of the houses decorated their backyard all the way around the green space, so not only was the front decorated, this whole kinda magical lit up area all the way around the back as well."

On Dec, 20th Our High River presented the winners with their prizes.
