A body was found in an irrigation canal near Strathmore over the weekend.

People walking along the canal made the grim discovery of the male body saturday night 7 kilometres east of Strathmore.

RCMP say foul play has not been ruled out.

The cause of death and idenitiy of the man has not yet been determined, but Mounties from the Strathmore Detachment are calling the case suspicious.
