Between 10 and 25 cm of snow is coming to the Foothills this week.

Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a Special Weather Advisory Monday morning after 5 a.m.

At this time of the year, our area's conditions are expected to fluctuate greatly.

The snowfall is expected mid-week for the Foothills near Okotoks and High River along with the M.D. of Willow Creek near Claresholm, Nanton, Stavely, and Parkland.

The snow could start flying Monday night continuing until Wednesday.

Thursday morning it should taper off leaving behind 10 to 25 cm in its wake with the majority of the heavier snowfall in Kananaskis Country and the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

And the snow's expected to be wet and heavy too.
