On April 24th, Gleichen RCMP  were called by EMS to report they found an unresponsive male as part of a call.

After an autopsy was done on the 25th, it was deemed a homicide.

Once an investigation was completed, the Alberta RCMP have laid charges on those who are believed to have taken part in the death of Siksika Nation resident, 59-year-old Clayton Redgun.

On April 26th, RCMP charged Ritchie Lance Bearhat (27) of Siksika Nations with second-degree-murder.

Bearhat has been taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody.

His appears in court next on April 29th at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.

On top of Bearhat, RCMP have obtained an arrest warrant for second-degree-murder for another suspect.

20 year-old David Bruce Drunkenchief of Siksika Nation is wanted by RCMP for second-degree murder and they are asking for the public's assistance in locating Drunkenchief.

Drunkenchief is described as:

  • Medium complexion
  • 5 foot 10 inches tall
  • Approximately 180 pounds
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes

The RCMP are advising people to NOT approach Drunkenchief, but to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
