Okotoks remains the home of baseball in Alberta with both the 18U Okotoks Dawgs Black and the 18U Okotoks Dawgs Red teams winning their respective "Best of the West" tournaments.

The Dawgs 18U Red would be the first to claim their banner on April 28 with a 9-1 win against the Langly Jr. Blaze. With the win, they finished the Best of the West 18U Classic going 5-0 and outscoring their opponents over the five-game span 54-16. The tournament was held from April 25-28 in Kamloops B.C.

The Dawgs 18U Black would follow the 18U Red's success in their own Best of the West 18U Premier tournament which was also hosted in Kamloops B.C. but held on May 1-5.

Not only would the 18U Black squad win the tournament, but they also went the whole tournament undefeated, going 5-0 over the five days. Again, they would heavily outscore their opponents over the five games played with a lead of  45-6.

In the final game of the tournament, the Dawgs 18U Black would defeat the Langley Blaze 10-2, almost perfectly replicating the same final the Dawgs Red squad had just a handful of days before.
