The Narrow Road Home in conjunction with Walkers Western Wear had a fashion show and silent auction on May 5th.

Event Coordinator Angelique Linge says aside from the silent auction they also had another auction with a little twist.

"Walkers had a silent auction and dinner and we auctioned off four ladies from The Narrow Road Home to do yard work, house work and maybe a little baking."

She says the idea was called Angel For A Day and the highest bid was $400 which sealed the deal for the ladies who will take part in yard and house cleaning for the bidder in a next weekend.

"The ladies have been at the home anywhere from one month to three months and they just want to give back to the house that's given so much to them."

She says aside from the $400 raised from the live auction they raised $2,100 and adds the night was a hit.

" The night was a huge success, there were some people that attended the event that didn't know about The Narrow Road Home it was a great awareness for the home as well."

She says aside from the $400 raised from the live auction they were able to raise an additional $2,100 from the silent auction and other donations.

Linge says they all decided to give half of everything to those affected by fires in fort McMurray
