It's a safe bet that not every Councillor and Mayor around the Foothills will be back for another term when election day rolls around in October.

Either through not wanting to run again, or just getting beat in the election, we'll see some new faces this year.

Nanton Mayor Rick Everett says that's likely the case in his town.

"The buzz around is there's at least a couple of Councillors that would probably like to continue. I've also heard some names bandied around on some people interested in running for council, which I think is excellent."

Everett says he's going to take another run at the Mayor's chair.

Nomination day for this year's civic election is Monday, September 18.
