42 new cases of COVID-19 were reported Sunday, May 24, in Alberta, bringing the total number of active cases to 801.

Overall 5,924 Albertans have now recovered from the virus, with no new deaths reported.

Locally the number of cases continue to drop.

The High River Region has 12 active cases, down from 16 late last week.

Okotoks has nine active cases while Black Diamond has three.

Both Calgary and Brooks will begin their stage one re-opening of the economy Monday, May 25, with things like barber shops and hairstylists along with restaurants, bars and pubs able to open at half capacity.
