Add Highwood Alberta Party Candidate Joel Windsor's name to the long list of those opposing the NDP's Bill 6, or Farm Workers Protection Act.

Although Windsor says he's not 100% against it.

"I come down with farmers. But I also come down with farm workers. I'm one of those guys that try to keep thing on a balanced idea. Farm workers do need some safety legislation in place, but the way that Bill 6 has been brought in has been completely inappropriate."

The legislation has been at the eye of the storm for protests from farmers over the last couple of weeks.

Despite those protests from farmers and calls from opposition leaders, Premier Rachel Notley says she plans to pass the legislation before the end of the Fall sitting and then amend it after the fact.

Something farmers say they're having a hard time believing.
