The brass sounds of Christmas will be filling the United Church in High River on Saturday, December 2.

It's because 'Buzz Brass,' a world-renowned Canadian brass quintet, is coming to town.

Michelle Wheatley-Brown, with the Gift of Music Society, says it should be a fun, entertaining night for the family.

"They talk a lot about their music, they're very funny and yet they're just incredibly musical, they've played all over the world and have been together since 2002. An excellent group. They're based out of Montreal. Christmas is about music and what a great way to bring in the season."

It's the night just after the Santa Claus parade too, making it really easy to get into the spirit of Christmas.

They'll be playing some traditional Christmas music such as Silent Night, Sleigh Ride, the 12 Days of Christmas amongst others as well as Bach's Let My Spirit Be Joyful.

Tickets in advance for adults and seniors are $35 or $40 at the door, if they don't sell out, and only $10 for youth.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
