Albertans have done a good job of keeping the curve flat after Stage One of the Province's re-launch, so Stage Two has been moved up to this Friday June 12

Premier Jason Kenney says it means more of us will be able to get out, while still taking proper health precautions.

"First K-12 schools for requested diploma exams and summer schools, public libraries, more surgeries, wellness services like massage, acupuncture and reflexology, most personal services like esthetics and manicures, movie theatres and live theatres, community halls and sports teams," the Premier explained would be able to re-open or re-start.

He says while these activities can re-open it's still up to the owners and operators whether they do and no one should feel like they have to take part.

Indoor gatherings, like funeral receptions, can now have up to 50 people in attendance while outdoor gatherings and those where there's seating indoors, like weddings and funerals ceremonies or services can have up to 100 people.

Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw says it's still vitally important that anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms get tested to limit the spread of the virus since large gatherings have proved to be a problem in the past.

She commended many of the people who attended recent Black Lives Matter protests who have taken the advice of Alberta Health and gotten tested.
