The Highwood Lions Music Festival is still happening this year! Hurray!

As someone who performed in the festival for numerous years in several categories, I can tell you first hand that this is an experience that all singers, performers and musicians need to take part in.

The Highwood Lions Music Festival promotes music and speech art performance by students and enthusiasts within the Foothills and surrounding areas. The festival is a high-quality festival, providing participants with valuable performance experience, support, advice and education from highly qualified music teachers and coaches as their adjudicators. They are a non-profit annual festival for all students and lovers of music and performance.

They are going virtual this year and there are a few new guidelines in place for your registration and piece submissions.

Video Uploading Opens: February 15, 2021
Piano, Guitar & Speech Videos Due: March 19, 2021
Musical Theatre & Voice Videos Due: March 26, 2021
Fiddle, Strings, Woodwinds & others disciplines Videos Due: April 1, 2021

Adjudicators Listen & Evaluate performances: Early April 2021
Online Masterclasses Held: mid-late April 2021
