Schools in the Foothills School Division will go forward with Remembrance Day observances.

Superintendent Chris Fuzessy says they decided to move ahead after inquiries from some schools.

"We did communicate with our school leadership teams that had inquired about plans and those plans are progressing although those celebrations of Remembrance Day are going to look different," he says. "It could be that a virtual school assembly takes place in individual classrooms or that a guest speaker comes in virtually as opposed to in person."

He says the board congratulated the schools for their interest in keeping the long-held tradition alive.
