A first-degree murder charge has been laid in the 2018 death of a Chestermere man.

41-year-old Dennis Lewis was found in his Chestermere home in November of 2018, having suffered a gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival to the Foothills Medical Centre.

On April 23rd, 2021, 36-year-old Joseph Pillay, formerly of Calgary, was arrested in Vancouver, and is one of four individuals identified who are believed to be involved in the killing.

37-year-old Richard Michael Sikora received a second-degree murder charge in March of this year, with RCMP also releasing surveillance video in an attempt to identify other individuals involved.

Two other individuals have been identified, though RCMP have not released information on them as charges are still pending.
