Okotoks Mark Sutherland finished in second spot Friday night at the Guy Weadick Chuckwagons in High River.

He moves up three spots to number three in the aggregate after two nights of racing.

Coming off barrel four in heat six, he managed to grab the rail, but says his outriders got caught up in the pack behind him, which forced him to pull back a bit and let them catch up.

"It was better for me to just keep a hold of them and kind of run and not their full potential. Unfortunately it's just the way the race played out. The outriders couldn't get free and couldn't get around the (other) wagons until the very end. It was close. They did a great job. It was just bad circumstances."

High River's Jason Glass is 18th, while fellow High River Driver Jordie Fike is 30th.

Colt Cosgrave, Luke Tournier, Sutherland, Chad Harden and Rae Croteau Jr., are the top five heading into night three of racing Saturday.
