Okotoks street sweeping crews are busy this week

Dirt and clutter on the streets of Okotoks don't stand a chance this week.

All week the street sweeping crews have been out cleaning up the streets, and they will be out again on Friday, May 10.

As long as the weather stays pleasant, crews will be cleaning the following streets:

• Friday, May 10: Hunters Gate from South Ridge Drive to Sheep River Drive 
• Friday, May 10: Sheep River Drive from Big Rock Trail to Sheep River Boulevard 
• Friday, May 10: Sheep River Boulevard from Big Rock Trail to Sheep River Cove

Because those streets will be visited by street sweepers, parking bans will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The public is encouraged to find alternative routes, but services such as mail delivery, waste collection, and first responders will not be affected.

Once the parking bans are in place, people in affected areas are asked to remove their vehicles and any other obstacles from the street.

The Town extends their thanks to the public for their support and assistance while the streets are getting cleaned.
