The Okotoks Oilers bounced back with a shut-out win over the weekend.

After being shut-out 2-0 by the Whitecourt Wolverines Saturday, October 15, the Oilers Blanked the AJHL South Division leading Calgary Canucks 3-0 Sunday, October 16, at home.

Oilers Goalie Riley Morris, who turned aside 28 shots in the win, says it was great to get back into the win column.

"Absolutely, especially going on the road for the next three weeks. We really needed to leave on a high note and this is the best way to do it."

The Oilers are gone for seven games, not returning to the Centennial Arena until Tuesday, November 8 due to the World Curling Tour Grand Slam event coming to Okotoks starting Tuesday, October 25.

The Oilers are in Lloydminster Friday, October 21, to play the Bobcats.
