The BCHL Okotoks Oilers had a wild game against the Brooks Bandits on Friday night at Okotoks Centennial Arena. It was a back-and-forth tilt until the Brooks Bandits found the back of the net in overtime for a 7-6 victory.

The Oilers came out flying in the first period but weren't rewarded for their hard work, going down 1-0 to the Bandits.

Jagger Tapper of the Oilers got the team rolling in the second period with a beautiful backdoor pass that led to a Brett Wilson goal. Tapper would then quickly pot a goal himself after finding an open spot in front of the net and blasting a shot past the Bandits' netminder. Tapper would finish the night with a goal and two assists.

The Green and Gold had momentum to start overtime, but it was the Bandits who would find the time and space, burying the winner in the three-on-three extra time.

The Oilers will have little time to think about the loss as they are back in action on Saturday (March 9) when they take on the Spruce Grove Saints at Grant Fuhr Arena at 7:00.
