The Okotoks Oilers escaped High River with a 7-6 win over the host Calgary Mustangs Tuesday night.

The Oilers got a pair of goals from Drew Weich and Brian Wilson got the win in net after spelling off starter Riley Morris who was pulled after giving up two goals on four shots.

Other goal scorers were Tanner Laderoute, Tanner Schachle, Travis Verveda, Matt McNair and Trey Degraaf.

The Oilers actually gave up what would have been the tying goal shorthanded with under a minute to play but it was disallowed because the net had been knocked off.

It was nearly a full house with proceeds from the game going to the Pee Wee Provincials to be hosted by the Foothills Flyers in March.
