The Okotoks Oilers crept a little closer to top spot in the AJHL's South Division with a 4-1 win over first place Canucks Tuesday, November 1, in the City.

With the two points, the Oilers find themselves tied with the Brooks Bandits for second spot with 24 points each, and just three back of the Canucks.

It's the second win of the season in as many tries for the Oilers against the Canucks.

Riley Mathies, Nolan Thompson, Cooper Page and Trey Degraaf were the Oilers goal scorers on the night.

They'll try to make it three in row Saturday, November 5, when they wind up their seven game road trip in Olds against the Grizzlys.
