The High River town council is no longer allowing overnight parking at the rec-plex.  This caused some discussion at council because historically the shuffle board tournaments have been allowed to park behind the curling rinks, because they use the curling facilities when their tournaments are on.

"What our policy shift is, we're not going to allow overnight parking at the Snodgrass Recreation Complex, however there is the overflow camping in the park along the Little Bow River right behind, so they have walk across the bridge" Councillor Tim Whitford explains.

The rate for the group camping area is $123 a night, which t is the alternate option for the groups who have previously been using the rec-plex.  "If there isn't any other arrangements made, that's exactly what happens," Whitford says.
