Work continues for the Prairie Mountain Health Advisory Council.

The group's role is to enhance partnerships between local communities and Alberta Health Services.

Chair Larry Albrecht says so far their main focus has been on senior's care. "Just looking to see the access of care and services for seniors and then taking that information and making recommendations to Alberta Health Services and providing feedback back to the communities where we were doing our engagement."

In the meantime, the group is holding it's next meeting in Okotoks on May 15th at the Urgent Care centre.

Albrecht encourages the public to come out.

"We set aside an hour from 6 to 7 if the public would like to attend and make any presentations, sharing any information they thought might be valuable for the council to hear."
