There's a new meaning to the word "passport" if you're in Alberta High School.

Tuesday the Province announced it's new program allowing workplace safety training to be recorded throughout school and then submitted to future employers.

Alberta Education Minister Gene Zwosdesky says students were very open to the new program.

"I think students felt, that the courses they will be taking - there is a package of informaiton that helps guide them along and tells them a little bit more of what to be aware of, regardless of proffesion or warns them in specifics about a particular profession...what might be hazzardous and things they should avoid.

Zwosdesky adds the labour sector is also very encouraged by the program, which should aid in both safety and efficiency in a variety of workplaces.
