Another section of Centre Street in High River has reopened to traffic.

Centre Street between 3rd Avenue S.E. and 6th Avenue S.E. was opened to traffic Saturday, September 19.

The remaining section of Centre Street between 6th Avenue SE and 7th Avenue SE will remain closed until the Centre Street project is completed later this fall.

Patrons will still have to get access to several businesses on the west side of Centre Street via the former CP lands until the concrete approaches are poured and cured.

For now, the intersection at Centre Street and 3rd Avenue will be a 4-way stop, a blast from the past for some long time residents of the town.

Underground work continues along 7th Avenue S.E.

On Monday, September 21 access will be closed at 7th Avenue SE for the alley east of Centre Street between 6th Avenue S.E. and 7th Avenue S.E.

The Town says access to homes and businesses in the area will be via 6th Avenue S.E. to Centre Street.
