Another tough day for local bull riders at the Calgary Stampede Rodeo, as all three were bucked off their bulls.

With the Pool A qualifying rounds now over, Strathmore's Scott Schiffner, Claresholm's Chad Besplug, and Black Diamond's Tyler Thomson will all try their luck on Wild Card Saturday.

Schiffner, Thomson and Besplug finished seventh, eighth and ninth in Pool A, respectively.

It was a great day for Cayley's Matt Lait in Bareback, but still not enough to put him in the top four.

Lait's 83.5 point ride on Monday was good for second place on the day, but fifth in the Pool A aggregate with $8,000, meaning he too is looking to Wild Card Saturday.

Still no luck for Millarville's Sam Kelts in Saddle Bronc, as he finished second last on the day with 78.5 points, and second last in the Pool A aggregate with $750.

All locals still have a chance to advance, however, as the top two cowboys in each category on Wild Card Saturday will advance to Showdown Sunday.
