The Lomond Lakers hit it out of the park on their first time at bat.

They picked up the first ever win for the franchise since joining the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League Friday, September 21, as they shut-out the Thrashers 6-0 in Three Hills.

Coach, Mike Glawson, says it's was mighty exciting.

"Very, very excited about getting that first one under our belt, getting off on the right foot. Boys were excited to go on Friday. They were really antsy last week, so good to get off on the right foot."

The Lakers are in for a stiff test Friday, September 28 though, as they head to Okotoks to take on the first place Bisons.
