High River's Corban Knight was back in Town last weekend.

The Florida Panthers forward took some time out to play in the High River Flyers golf tournament.

Knight says with 20 games under his belt with the Panthers last season, he feels he's ready to make the jump to become a full time NHL player.

"It's a crazy year. Being the year I was injured, so I missed a good chunk of time, then came back and was then able to get a good chunk of time with the big club. It was good, there's a lot of good things to build off of this summer and head into the fall and hopefully make a team full time."

The fly in the ointment, is Knight's not sure where he'll be.

He's an unrestricted free agent come July 1, and has yet to be offered a contract by the Panthers.

He says he'd like to go back.

"If that situation pops up where I can go back to Florida I think that would be great. It's a good fit there. You know it's one of things where it's the first time I've really had the chance to go to unrestricted free agency. We'll see what happens and hopefully we'll get some interest. But, right now, who know's what's going to happen."

Knight had two goals and five assists with the Panthers last season.
