High River RCMP, along with help from Calgary City Police have been able to arrest two men they say were involved in a series of crimes in the community.

RCMP have laid charges after multiple thefts from vehicles that occurred on November 2nd and 3rd, along with a theft from the Shopper’s Drug Mart on November 2nd and in connection with a recovered stolen vehicle.

Video surveillance from local businesses and private homes led the local RCMP in conjunction with Calgary Police to be able to identify the pair.

31-year-old Leonard Kerr of no fixed address and 21-year old Anthony Favel of Calgary, face a long list of charges.

Kerr’s charges include:

-9 counts of Theft under $5000

-5 counts of Possession of Stolen property under $5000

-3 counts of Break and Enter

-1 count of Fraud

-2 counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation order

Favel faces the following charges:

-8 counts of Theft under $5000

-5 counts of Possession of Stolen Property under $5000

-3 counts of Break and Enter

-1 count of Fraud

-3 counts of Fail to comply with a release order.

Both men have been remanded into custody pending court appearances.
