The Guy Weadick Rodeo is all set for this Friday and Saturday in High River.

The High River Ag Society is ready, fingers crossed for good weather.

Tanya Froh, past president, said pro rodeo action starts at 6:30 p.m. both nights along with a few new things this year.

"Friday night we've got the Wild Pony racers. So, we did a qualifier at our Little Britches Rodeo. Our top five teams for Wild Pony racing are getting to go during the intermission for the pro rodeo. Saturday, we got a best jeans contest."

They've also lined up some Country music entertainment lined up for the cabarets.

"Lori Kole is up Friday and Saturday night following the rodeo performance. So, that is an 18 and over only cabaret. Your adult rodeo ticket gets you into the cabaret or if you want to come just for the cabaret, it's $15 bucks, cash."

Gates and the beer garden open at 5:00 p.m. both nights.

And if you're wondering about chuckwagon races, they return over two weekends for the Battle of the Foothills July 21st to 23rd and July 28th to 30th.
