The Foothills Country Hospice is taking part in Giving Tuesday in a big way.

Development and Communications Officer with the Hospice, Stephanie Barnes says it's something good that can come out of a very difficult situation right now, especially for residents.

"They are allowed one visitor at a time but it's not the usual hustle and bustle at the hospice, there's not entertainment going on in our common areas, we aren't even allowed to have our volunteers on site right now, so it's now as active as a setting as it usually is and so we just wanted to make sure that our residents know that we're thinking of them and we care about them and we just want to spread the love, and to our front line workers as well, for all they're doing," Barnes says.

You can post a message of gratitude or a message of support on social media that will be shared with residents and health care workers at @countryhospice #givingtuesdaynow and #spreadthe love.

Barnes says you can share your story on social media as to why Foothills Hospice is important to you.

You can also check all the ways to take part by going to their website.
