Some good pitching for both the Prospects and Dawgs Tuesday night in Edmonton, but in the end it was the hometown Prospects coming away with a 3-2 win thanks to a busy ninth inning.

The Dawgs Dylan Nelson kept the Prospects in check most of the game giving up just two runs, while striking out six.

The Dawgs offence couldn't get on track until the ninth inning though, when Daniel Fredickson's single to left scored two runs to tie it up.

But, reliever Holden Lyons couldn't keep the Prospects off the scoresheet in the bottom if nine as a walk off single with a man on second finished the game.

The Dawgs are in Medicine Hat Wednesday night.

They wind up the regular season Thursday and Friday in Lethbridge.
