The chucks are back in the Foothills starting Friday as they're on the track in Strathmore for the Heritage Days Stampede and Rodeo.

High River's Jordie Fike is coming off a pretty good third place showing in Bonnyville last weekend and says he's determined to give it his all again this weekend.

"I'm going to go for it off the four barrel, see if I can get the front end off the four and then see how that works out. I'm just going to use the same two outfits and hopefully they keep me in there as well as they did in Bonnyville."

Fike was just three-tenths of a second away from winning is first tour event in Bonnyville and says he'd really like to get into the winners circle in one of the final three races of this season.

The Strathmore show crowns an aggregate champion, meaning the driver with the best cumulative time over four nights of racing takes the title.

The final two shows of the year, in Dawson Creek and Rocky Mountain House run five nights and are a "Dash for Cash" final.
