In high school football the Willow Creek Cobras beat the Pincher Creek Mustangs 56-7 on October 26.

Head coach for the Cobras Tim Bryson says, #17 Ethan Perry rushed for 400 yards, breaking the Cobras previous record and may have found where he needs to be on the team.

"That was pretty spectacular, we've been moving him around all over the field on the offense and about half way through the Chinook game last week, we put him on tailback and he kinda tore it up there. I think we've settled on that [position], I think Ethan was a heck of tailback last year and we thought about moving him around, but no... he's our tailback."

Bryson adds that their reliance on rushing yards was aimed at countering the weather.

"This game was important in the sense of establishing good habits. With the windy conditions we really wanted to run the ball and we did really well with that."

While the Cobras can boast a clean victory over the Mustangs, Bryson says they can't afford to get to over-confident heading into their next game.

"Taber is gonna be a tough, tough gig. Myers does what they do, really well, they're full of confidence, they got a ton of experience, swagger and are on a mission. We are going to be at our absolute best, there's no margin of error against Taber. This is nice, it's a good springboard we'll have a good week of practice and just lay it on the line and see what happens.
