Dee's Corner Market in Cayley was broken into early Friday, October 18.

High River RCMP say the crooks busted through the back door some time between 4:30 and 5:15 a.m.

The owner has been reassuring residents the mail room inside the market was undisturbed and still remains secure, though will be closed today.

Store owners are finishing up a store inventory to determine how much was taken and how much damage was done to the building.

Mounties are asking anyone who lives in Cayley, or surrounding area to check their security footage or dashcams during that time.

Residents can report anything suspicious like unknown vehicles or people to the High River RCMP.

They're also asking anyone who may have heard anything in the area to contact RCMP or Crimestoppers.

There have been a string of break-ins in the Foothills recently, including break and enters at the Water's Edge Pub in Priddis, and two more bars in Bragg Creek since Thanksgiving Monday, though officers say they don't know if they're linked.
