For the third straight Summer, Seaman Stadium played host to a number of former MLB greats for the Blue Jays Honda Super Camps.

Over 200 young baseball players hit the field with Hall-of-Famer Roberto Alomar, and former Blue Jays Duane Ward, George Bell, Devon White, Homer Bush, Lloyd Moseby and Jesse Barfield.

Alomar says it's a great opportunity to pass on the love of the game to the next generation of ball players.

"I think it's great for the kids," he says. "It's great for us, to have fun with them and teach them the basics of the game. I think it's about giving back and giving opportunities to the kids, who, if they want to succeed in this game, have to work hard."

Alomar is no stranger to Okotoks, as he's been to all three Super Camps, and was in town as the keynote speaker for the Dawgs' annual banquet back in February.

He says he loves Okotoks, and looks forward to coming here every time.

"I think the people here are great, are real nice, and love the Jays organization," he says. "We just come here to support not only the kids, but support Okotoks, and it's a great time. I came here last year and had a great time, and hopefully I can continue to come here and support them."

The Jays Care Foundation has an ongoing partnership with the Okotoks Dawgs, and Alomar says he has high praise for the organization from top to bottom.

"They have a great program," he says. "I'm a big supporter of them, and I'm glad they've connected with the Jays organization and the Jays Care Foundation, they're just doing a great job."

The Super Camps are on until Thursday at Seaman Stadium.
