Foothills County residents opposed to the Rimrock Feeders proposed biodigester have started the appeals process.

Benita Estes says they're working with their lawyer to get all the proper paperwork together and in on time.

Appeals have to be filed by January 10th.

Alberta Environment and Protected Areas issued its approval for the project December 11th.

Estes is hoping people will contribute to the group's Gofundme campaign to help pay for the legal help.

So far, it's raised about $14,000.
