This Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the annual Bikes and Bombers event at the Bomber Command Museum of Canada in Nanton.

(The Lancaster Bomber On Display At the Bomber Command Museum And One Of The Motorcyclists Bike.)

The idea of this event is to have motorcyclists attend so that in the morning they can show off their bikes and ride off in the afternoon.

With this, the first 250 motorcyclists received a commemorative badge for taking part in the day.

This event is a great way for the Museum to attract people and raise funds for the expansion of their building.

There, myself and many other spectators had the opportunity to take a stroll back through time.

Throughout the museum you are witness to a vital part of Canadian history.

Whether it be through the planes on display, the multiple exhibits, or the artwork of some of the soldiers you are able to get a small glimpse into what the men and woman that serve our country have gone through.

I was grateful to have had some of the people attending the event come up to me and tell me about their own parents wartime stories.

The picture located above is significant in the sense that one of the Bikers who attended had a Father that was one of the men who operated the Lancaster Bomber and so, this man wanted a photo of his piece of machinery taken with one that his father had operated in times past.

All throughout the day I heard stories of truly brave Canadians that fought for the freedom of our Country.

Altogether, I had another great day at the Bomber Command Museum and If you are ever in the Nanton Area, the Museum is a great way to spend the day!
