This Sunday, The 16th The Sunshine Patrol visited Annie Froese at the Art and Soul Studio/Gallery for Pie Day, A weekly event that happens every Sunday featuring live music, local art, and amazing handmade pie.
The Music -
The musician playing are a collection of musicians that formed after the flood who were all just looking for a place to play, Annie reached out and offered them a trade, Live Music for Home-made pie, who wouldn't say yes! they get together every Sunday at the Art and Soul Gallery to play for the guests of the gallery and enjoy some of Herb's delicious pie!
The Art -
Annie Froese joined the Sunshine Patrol for an interview and talked about the collection of amazing art she has. Annie has always had a love for art and supports the fine arts in any way she can. The Art and Soul Studio began as a home but after the flood, the rules had changed in High River and the building had to be commercial. She decided to find something everyone loved and wasn't too expensive, the answer was easy as pie.
The Pie - Herb is the artist behind the pies, he slaves away all through the night, This weekend he stayed up until 3:30 am baking pies all for the guests to come by and enjoy. herb even let myself try the pie and it is.... to PIE for... ya know... like to die for, but with pie?
The Verdict - if you haven't checked out the Art and Soul Gallery/Studio on Sundays... do it! it's that easy. amazing music, beautiful art, and incredible pies.
