There's another solar farm in the works for Foothills County, just west of High River.

Elemental Energy Renewables has applied to build a solar farm on 130 acres of private land.

The land they're looking to build the solar power plant on is just along the north side of Hwy 498 and 64th St. E.

It will be right beside the new High River Peaking Powerplant.

It's just across the road from another power plant and where access for Bigfoot RV storage is.

It's expected to provide 18.5 megawatts of energy and Elemental Energy Renewables has simply called it the 'High River Solar Project'.
